Semifinals are:

Djokovic vs Ferrer

Nadal vs Fognini

Only the 2nd one looks dubious, as Fognini has caused Nadal considerable problems this year.
In the meantime, would be great if China finally emerged as a force in tennis, as Djoker and Nadal have stated:

Chinese Tennis 2015 | ATP World Tour | Tennis

Currently there is also another ATP 500 going on at the same time, the Japan Open in Tokyo.
A possible Nishikori vs Wawrinka final looms over there as another big name clash.

The women's draw in Beijing has been more interesting for me.

Muguruza will play Timea Bacsinszky in the final.

Bacsinszky all but gave up the sport a couple of years back and is now into the top 10. Could qualify for the WTA finals if she wins tomorrow. She's one of the most likeable players on the tour, it would be nice to see her in the Singapore mix.

Are you serious? Djokovic vs. Nadal final is not interesting to you?

Yes I am serious. The men's event is only an ATP500. No Federer, Murray, Wawrinka etc. The women's event is a Premier Mandatory (ATP1000 equivelant)

The only match worth paying attention to in the men's is the final. The women's event will be sorting out who makes the WTA finals, which is a very close race with about 10 players who could still make it. Much more at stake & therefore more interesting.

Certainly a lot at stake, more so for Nadal who still has yet to qualify for the WTF's in London.
The other concurrent ATP 500 event in Tokyo, features Wawrinka vs Frenchman Benoit Paire:

The Road to Singapore on the WTA tour certainly looks interesting as Stewart has stated:

Correct me if I am wrong, but the last 3 times defending champion Serena Williams is bypassing this event (WTA Finals) this year?

Yes, her last tournament this year is the US Open, she won't play again until next year. Says she's exhausted & needs to rest.

So the no.9 in the rankings will play at Singapore. Could possibly be Venus.

Has the Nadal-Djokovic' gap permanently widened?

6-2, 6-2.

I am a very avid Djoker fan (and Murray to a lesser extent), as you have noticed.
Hence would like to think Novak has the edge from hereon in, on both Nadal and Federer.
According to Djoker himself, the match was closer than the score line suggested:

Beijing 2015 Final Djokovic Nadal | ATP World Tour | Tennis

Will wait and see what happens from here.
Nadal should qualify for the WTF's now, so he is always dangerous if he can regain form and confidence, possibly as early as the AO next year, but certainly RG.
