Somebody eventually may pass Steffi but most certainly not Serena. For her this is just the beginning of a downward spiral.

Even if Serena never won another Slam, I don't think either record will be passed.
To have one player so dominant, in barely 1 1/2 generations, is unlikely to happen again.
To have 2 players like that, it is just not statistically probable.
