Another big win for Djokovic. Played all 4 finals this year, winning 3 of them.
Same outcome for Fed as with Wimbledon. Played superbly right up to the final but couldn't produce the serve stats when he needed it most. He also failed to convert break points on Djokovic's 2nd serve, which was a real key to the match.
Federer is running out of chances to get his 18th slam. He's not getting any younger.

It's funny you bring this up, but tennis analyst Jeff Sackmann wrote about this very issue in his tennis blog, Heavy Topspin, after the Djokovic/Federer U.S. Open championship match:
What's the next event between now and Australian Open?
On the men's side, there are still two Masters 1000 events (Shanghai and Paris indoor) and the ATP World Tour finals in London before the end of the year. (I'm unsure where the women's Premier Mandatory/5 events are, but I know they also have two such events, plus the WTA Finals in Singapore, before the end of 2015.) The ATP Finals only involve the top 8 players in 2015. Here are the current rankings:
The ATP Tour Finals is considered the biggest event on the men's tour besides the Grand Slams. It is one of the three big events, along with the Miami Masters and Paris Masters, that Rafael Nadal has never won.
[quote=JL;41175579]She eventually will pass Steffi barring some major career ending injury and i actually thought she handled her post match press conference better than her previous ones. Her sportsmanship has improved, but she still has a ways to go.
Somebody eventually may pass Steffi but most certainly not Serena. For her this is just the beginning of a downward spiral.
