I agree the best football(soccer) players in the world are currently playing in Europe. But if we research we'll notice that the number of Club World Cups(or formerly called intercontinental cup) titles is basically tied between European and South American teams - I don't remember exactly but if I am remembering right, South American teams still have more World cup titles than European teams do, even with the recent European domination.
So, two reasons the champion of Europe shouldn't be called world champion:
-The champions league is about European teams which means it can only "give" an European champion.
-Europeans aren't that dominant in terms of results in football(soccer). They may be dominant in marketing and organization but South Americans can still play at an equal level against them sometimes.
