Well I am a huge racing fan, but not a big better; yes, we do wager from time to time. I bet a whole $10; $6 across the board on America P; $2 to show on both the next two. II have never bet a trifecta or anything fancy like that, but told hubby, about 1/2 before the race, I wish I had bet the exacta or trifecta: I still had time, damn, I never again will pick all 3 horses. Oh well, I still did ok and now we can all hope for a triple crown winner, it is always fun to hope and watch.
Bob Baffert, trainer, had his two horses come in 1 and 3, American Pharoah & Dortmund! I expected Dortmund to pull it out at the end, but Pharoah did what was expected and pulled ahead and won! Incredible trainer!

I have always loved him and love to pick his horses. I think that had something to do with my picks yesterday: winner; won the AR. Derby: then Buffert had Dortmund and Stevens was riding Firing Line and anywone with a heart must have wanted to see him do well.
Does anyone think for a minute that the owner of Dortmund and trained by Baffert would spoil a historic chance at the Triple Crown? Dortmund could be used to occupy lanes and deny other horses the ability to catch Pharoah. I can not see Dortmund winning, the owner would likely tell his jockey to pull up and let Pharoah win. Or maybe, since Dortmund is not yet committed to the Preakness, they pass and let Dortmund run somewhere else in the near future.
