Aren't the guys in Impact about 60 or so? I watch periodically, the story lines get to weird and I drop off for a couple years. I think WWE made characters change too fast...maybe its to keep the Twitter generation entertained at the expense of losing older fans like myself.
Tough Enough has brought me back in a little .... still hard to devote that much time to it though .... CM Punk is very talented and has been a great change .... I'm not sure about the leaving thing - I'm fairly confident he was scheduled for a break and they just worked a story line for it ..... I'm positive he'll be back.
After all, he's a "punk" and being anti-establishment, outcast, desiring affection and then disregarding it all fits the mold ...... don't think it was a coincidence he was sporting a stone cold shirt a couple weeks ago when he went on that epic promo to end raw .... they've had success with that anti-wwe wrestler a couple of times .... can help a lot when you have a guy like Cena who a lot of people really like, but so many find to be dull and kind of worthless
Writers must be working overtime with Punk leaving with the title,Vince getting relieved of his duties and Triple H taking Vinces place.
As said before, i smell a new brand about to emerge..

Probably Vince in some sort of pseudo breakaway league with CMPunk and the belt, probably the NXT gang and a few other league jumpers and people willing to make the transition or come back from obscurity..
Back in 1996 this type of walk in was pretty much unheard of. Scott Hall starting the angle which led to the eventual formation of the landmark new world order, nWo wrestling angle. And the very much needed Hogan heel turn.
