my teams are the Red Sox, Raiders, Bruins and Syracuse in college Basketball.
I still hate the Yanks, the Montreal Canadians, Georgetown and the rest of the AFC west, but It's nowhere near the level it used to be.
I think the Red Sox winning it all in 2004 and the way they did it coming back from being down 0-3 to vs the Yanks and sweeping the Cards might have contributed.
But I think the #1 killer of sports hate is fantasy sports.
anyone agree?
2 seasons ago I rode Jamaal Charles deep in to the fantasy playoffs, last season I took a late flier on Matt Cassel, and he won me a lot of games, and I watched the KC/Baltimore playoff game and was actually rooting for KC.
ten years ago that never would have happened
I play a lot of fantasy baseball and Robby Cano last yr was amazing I had him on multiple leagues.
those are just a couple of examples, there are many others.
do you hate like you used to?
Hey aardvarks
I'm talking Aussie sport here, so I figure most of you won't get what I am talking about but...
I hate Collingwood, with a heated passion. the fact that they beat my team to win the comp last year has only fuelled that fire. To top it off half my family are crazy collingwood fans.
oh yeah, I forgot.......any opponent NFL fans that steps foot into RayJay Stadium, Tampa, with their stupid opponent jerseys, and their loud drunken mouths, and their ugly wives/mongoloid children.
I hate the Los Angeles Lakers with a passion. I also hate the Boston Red Sox and Fenway Dump, Los Angeles Dodgers and Dallas Cowboys. This goes for these teams' fans, too.
Only teams I hate are Nucks, Canadiens, and Yankees. First 2 is mostly due to thier annoying fans than the actual team themselves. Yankees because they are the most liked and have to most money to spend. Which they cant help but it still ticks me off lol.
Hate is a strong word---but I dont like the Cowboys, Yankees, Lakers, and the Vikings. Once again, hate is a strong reference, but not pulling too hard for those franchises.
