We are looking at a home with a Deer Park zip code but not in city limits. It's on 10 acres. The city code says all livestock are prohibited in the city's jurisdiction. I find that hard to believe. We'd like to have chickens and maybe a goat or two. Anyone live in that area that can give me some insight? Thanks!!

Well, if it is not inside city limits as you say, why is it a concern?

Yes, I agree with AK76.

No offense, OP, but I am assuming that you must be from an urban area to be asking this question.

Almost all small towns' post office zip codes extend to the unincorporated areas around them. But that's a totally different thing than actually being in the city and being under city code.

Deer Park people have lots of chickens, horses, goats, sheep, etc. If it's a place on 10 acres, you can have your animals.
