The upgraded/repaired Hubble has just captured images from galaxies etc.as they appear 600 Million years after the Big Bang; before upgrading the farthest the telescope could see was 900 Million years after the Bang.
HubbleSite -- Out of the ordinary...out of this world.

To see the first galaxies and further back in time we will have to wait about 4 years until the launching/deployment of The James Webb Space Telescope see...

What they initially should have done is position telescopes around the periphery of this system. They could either ride L points , or maybe in geosynch with Pluto or Sedna. Or some form of real time (delayed) sensor network to monitor activity on the outskirts. The images are good , nonetheless , but now is the time to think outside the box on space matters. Too bad very few , if any actually do.
