Buffalo Stampede (Spearfish: 2013, moving, car)

So after posting about going to the Buffalo Stampede every year when I was a kid, I got it into my head to research if such a thing still exists so I could plan on visiting this year. Instead, I found this 5 minute clip of a REAL buffalo stampede near Spearfish. You may have seen it, it Joe Rainboth posted it on his blog in 2013. Very cool. Some biiiiig Tatanka running past their car! Lucky they weren't hit!

I've had my fill or run ins with buffalo. Another one of my dads ideas 30 years ago. He got over it in a hurry.

That was not a buffalo stampede and those people in the car were really not in danger. It simply was a herd of buffalo moving along, some walking and some loping along. Buffalo can move a heck of a lot faster than that.
