My wife and I would like to move to Aiken, from N.W. Indiana, we were there for about a week in April, and were very impressed with the town
and surrounding areas, however we are retired and I would like to fish a
couple of times a week, could anyone tell me if there is a good place to fish in the area. Thanks
I live in Aiken. I don't fish, but I know a lot of people who do. Most of them drive about 45 minutes northwest to Clark's Hill Lake (now known as Thurmond Lake - but natives don't call it that!). I understand it's good fishing. People also fish in the Savannah River. There's also Lake Murray in Columbia, also about 45 minutes away. Aiken is a great place to live (but it's REALLY hot here now, and will be all summer!!!) Good luck!
Patriot41,
When you get settled here, ask around and drive around.
There are many local, close fishing holes for you to enjoy.
You will find them.
Everyone who fishes here has their own favorite fishing hole.
Alot of them are extremely close too.
Thanks, both of you, it sounds like I will find at least a couple of places to fish
