I currently live on Hilton Head. The biggest problem is the people. This area is far from being overly friendly. My family and I moved to Hilton Head to be closer to family. We moved from Virginia. We have never experienced such snobby and nasty people before we moved here. The funny thing is that most of the Hilton Head people are transplants from the north that were looking for the friendly south. They needed to leave there northern attitudes in the north. As for the crime, the area has a very small amount of crime compared to the DC Metropolitian area.
