I am planning to travel down to Aiken for a day. It has been several years since I last visited.

Dining options I have enjoyed in the past (Godfather's Pizza on Pine Log Road next to Bi-lo, Ryan's on Whiskey Road) have closed. As much as I would like to try Red Lobster again, it is wise to try the local scene.

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Aiken Brewing Company, Dukes BBQ (best in state, in my opinion), Zorbas Pizzeria , Arries Grille (old school burger place, Aiken landmark) , Ferrando Pizzeria , Prime Steak

Carolina BBQ is better than Dukes by a long shot. Dukes has better fried chicken and sides.

What food would I expect at Aiken Brewing Company?

Zorba's Pizzeria and Ferrando's Pizzeria does trigger my hunger for pizza. Do they have the best pizza in Aiken?

Aiken Brewing has a good variety...they have a menu at their website, just google it. I thought the steak there was good. Zorbas and Ferrando's were the only local places I remember going to there. There is a Pizza Joint downtown now which is also in Augusta and Columbia that is pretty popular. Also a Mellow Mushroom just opened. I think there is an Acropolis Pizza place too, and I'm sure some others. If you liked Godfathers, you'll like these I think.

Ferrando's Italian Pizzeria is interesting. How big are their pizzas?

Carolina,
Fernando's has the best pizza by a long shot.
Their pizza comes in different sizes, if you want an extra large pie, they will
make it.
There are two of them, one of them being in the same Mall off of WHiskey Road across
from Walmart, it has the restaurant O'Charley's in it.
The pizza joint in downtown Aiken is horrible, tastes like cardboard.
I ate at the Aiken Brewing Company, there food wasn't special, it's a bar. They have bar
food, if you know what I mean.
Prime Steak is very expensive to go to.
I don't know what you usually spend on a dinner, but I wouldn't go there, for me it's
the principal of the thing.
When you do visit, if you haven't already, have lunch at the New Moon Café downtown.
Their food is fresh, everything, and very tasty.

Default Pizza Hut #2001, Northside Plaza, 1036 York St Northeast, Aiken, South Carolina 29801-4026

It appears Pizza Hut is coming to Northside Plaza.

Pizza Hut #2001: Site plan

Observing the site plan, the back of house (kitchen) takes up more room than the front of house (dining area). It would be bad if this was a non-authentic Pizza Hut (carryout/delivery only).
