I live in Massachusetts and want to move to South Carolina. I have two children ages 8 and 13. Any help on where to live? Don't need to find employment. Thanks for everything. We just like being outdoors and want to go back to a simplier life. Thanks.
Thanks for the responses. I'm sorry....I did mean Charleston. I don't have to be on the beach, just close (up to 20 minutes away from it). I'm not rich but I'm not poor. Would buying a mobile home and living in a community be the way to go while I look?
Maybe buying a mobile home in Myrtle Beach but not really here in Charleston. You may also want to consider Summerville area. It's about 30 minutes to the beach and great schools.
To buy a mobile home you will most likely need cash VERY hard to get loans on Mobile homes.
Don't know your price range but you can get a nice home in Summerville area about 150K. Myrtle beach is less expensive.
Wouldn't it make more sense to rent an apartment while looking around for a house instead of purchasing a mobile home?
Anyway Charleston and Myrtle Beach are two very different environments. As stated above, Summerville is a good suggestion for schools and being pretty close to beaches.
Thanks so much for your responses. innovator82, you're probably right. I never thought of renting an apartment. I'm not a snob, I just have always lived in a house. I like the looks of Summerville. I'll just have to come down there and take a look around. I did another post asking what areas I should stay away from. Any good real estate agents to help me?
