I'm pulling for Spain (like I did before the tournament started). Always liked their football. The Germans just don't excite me (other than at WC 2006).
And with Fabregas available (assuming Aragones starts him), Villa's absence may not be such a big deal.
Let's hope both teams play to win rather than play to not lose; this crap about playing with the intent of getting it to penalty kicks is like watching paint dry.
That was a quality game. The tide was with the Germans for a while, then with the Spanish next, and back and forth and back and forth.
Spain played some great passing football. In the beginning I feared the Germans' wide play would overrun Spain, but they held on. Deserved victors, not only for the way they played the Final, but the whole tournament.
