I'd rather Chelsea play Basel since I cannot remember the last time they played them, or if they even have ever played them. They played Benfica in the round of 8 in last year's Champions League, so I would rather see them play a different club.
I am sure Newcastle would prefer avoiding another trip to Russia too.
Chelsea has to make the long trip to Kazan....on top of their already loaded schedule over the remainder of the season. Spurs have a seemingly easy draw, then again Basel was the club to knock Manchester United out of the Champions League group stage last season, so they are capable of putting up good performances in Europe.
