A 25-year-old British man who was working as a football coach in the US has been stabbed to death in New York. Mike Jones, originally of Tarleton, Lancashire, was attacked in Manhattan in the early hours of Sunday, the New York Police Department (NYPD) said.
This is awful to hear. I am shocked because I always thought NYC was one of the safest places on the planet. I felt more safe walking the streets of New York then I did the streets of Glasgow.
That's horrible! These days everybody thinks New York (and especially Manhattan) is as safe as Disneyland or something, but it's still a giant city with its fair share of criminals/ gang members/ weirdos...
Its got its rough spots and times like any other major city in the world. Sad to see anybody get murdered though.
