As someone that follows Polish soccer and has been to several league matches, I can assure everybody things shouldn't get rough during Euro. It's true things sometimes get rough, but it's almost exclusively based on old club rivalries. Also there will be a ton of police and they really don't mess around While this might sound drastic, the riot control squads that will be handling any "problematic situations" that can happen are armored (supposedly their armor can withstand an axe or a machete hit, and then there is also the shield), armed (including extremely effective vehicle mounted water cannons ) and first of all, experienced enough to handle anything football fans can throw at them.
I doubt any fights break out on the stadiums and during matches, later on once everybody's drunk there will be some brawls but that's it.
Ireland should have great support, the Polish and the Irish became closer than ever during the past few years and Poles view Irish as distant cousins, of sort.
Yac.
Let me rephrase that, the FAI said that UEFA said Ireland would have the 2nd largest traveling support.
Uefa did say it. Its the truth. We will have a large support group going. I will be one of them. It will be great. We are getting in Euro fever now. Are you coming home for it Brian and will you be a part of the street parties the way it was at Italia 90.

The Irish and the Polish have become a lot closer because all the Polish are living over here. I will be expecting a personal ceromony welcoming me at the airport and thanking me for my hospitality towards them at home. Maybe a pint with some of them.

Nah I cant afford to go home and I am trying to start a company so dont have any free time tbh.
I vaguely remember Italia 90 for the parties, not much a kid could do :P USA 94 and Japan/Korea were a different story though.
As I have said before I am a big hater of the FAI and all that goes along with it, I will be rooting for Ireland but wont get too upset if we dont do good. I found the squad to lack a passion for playing the last few times I saw them. Id rather see League of Ireland players who want to play for Ireland than English based players playing.
