Is anybody having issues with Downey sheets? (purchase, clothes, problem)

This is the second time having a problem with the sheets not smelling like they should and eventually my clothes start to smell because of them. I use the April Fresh. Last time I purchased them they were fine. I contacted customer service last time this happened and and they didn`t have much to say about it. I`ve been using this product for a long time so I don`t know what the problem might be. Has anybody had this problem? Are there other products out there that have a good smell similiar to April Fresh? I can`t do Bounce or Gain because I`m really sensitive to certain smells.

I don't do the sheets. I just put a few drops of the liquid softener on an old washcloth and use it like a sheet in the dryer. It saves a lot of money, plus you can smell the softener beforehand to make sure you like the scent.
