They are two under UW, but different campus area.
I want to know what's the different to take a Bachelor of Accounting from Seattle UW and Bothell UW. I mean the future prospect on employment. Which one is better?

Thanks
Xin

Within Seattle, yes there is a difference.
Outside the metro, no difference.

I don't think so.
As long as your resume shines, your credentials are in order, and your GPA is good, that is all employers really look at.

Agreed. Nobody outside the metro area knows even knows where Bothell is. For all they know the main campus and the Bothell campus are the same school.

Also, I took a Washington state history class at UW-Bothell a couple years ago and had a great experience. At this point, I can't help what other people think of my transcript, but when it comes to learning, your education is what you make of it. I got my bachelor's degree at a public Midwestern university that nobody outside of Iowa has heard of, and I got the best education anyone could ever ask for.

I went to Harvard and outside of Boston/Cambridge, nobody knows the difference between an ALB and a BA...but around Cambridge, they can tell you the difference.

So what really is the difference? I'm just curious... Bothell is so much newer and so much closer for a lot of us.

It's just a branch of UW, meant to alleviate the student's lengthy trips to the main campus but still receive the same quality of education. It used to not offer so many majors but apparently Bothell is growing in numbers so they decided to add more.

The one thing that I had to learn while attending @ UWB was simply just because you are in UW Bothell (or UW Tacoma), it doesn't mean you get to take classes at the main campus in Seattle or have an easy transfer/access into UW Seattle. They function as different schools in that sense.

The University of Washington is starting to spread out a bit. In California there is the all-powerful UC system and they have:

1 UC Berkeley
2 UC Davis
3 UC Irvine
4 UC LA
5 UC Merced
6 UC Riverside
7 UC SD
8 UC SF
9 UC Santa Barbara
10 UC Santa Cruz

At the end of the program, it's a University of California degree and reads as such.

In Washington, the UW has:

1 UW (Seattle)
2 UW Tacoma
3 UW Bothell

As the population gains in Western Washington, watch for the UW to open new campuses...I wouldn't be surprised if UW opens a campus in Olympia (Political Science/Economics focus) and one in SW Washington somewhere (Camas/Vancouver). I would like to see UW open a Bellevue campus as well but it's so close to the main UW campus that I don't know if that would work.

What do you all think about UW expansion?

Right now, Vancouver has the WSU branch and that is growing. It should be interesting to watch if UW decides to set up location there. I kinda doubt that UW will though.

No, a degree from Berkeley is much better than a degree from Riverside. that's just silly.
