Hey everyone. I will be in town next month and am looking to be on a budget so I am looking for some ideas of good happy hour deals and places to check out while in town. I don't plan on having a car so will be hooving it down in the downtown/touristy areas like Pike Place Market region. I have read a few places in the Seattle Times, but most seem really upscale and not sure if it's what I am looking for. Good local beer on tap, good wine for the wife, tasty food, burgers are fine but also other things like smoked oysters and whatnot. Within easy stumbling distance of Pike Place Market and the light rail to get back to the hotel. Good vies are always a bonus but certainly not necessary. We like places with good ambience and local flavor as opposed to the type of places geared towards tourists/business folk.
So, with some of those criteria, do you guys have any suggestions for a first time visitor to the fine city of Seattle for Happy Hour? I can't wait!

My favorite upscale happy hour place is the Ikon Grill downtown. Can't afford the place for lunch or dinner but the happy hour is in my budget. Amazing food, delicious drinks, eye popping decor. Give it a whirl.

Thanks for that Michaelin. I actually saw that article which is what prompted me to ask this question initially. That Gotime.com site is really great as it allows me to type in certain criteria such as what time I want happy hour and it will tell me what places do have it then or I can do a general query and find them all on a map. It would be great if more cities did not have this type of site. Very helpful! Thanks!
Anyone have luck with Umi Sake House or Ohana both down on 1st ave. They sound interesting.
