i am also looking for information on daycare expenses in seattle and suburbs. right now i have my two kids with their grandmother, and what a blessing! but when we move, i am looking at paying for daycare for my 6 mo old, and after school program for my older child. in vegas, the prices are averaging $200/week for daycare program, which includes a website where you can check in on your child ( i think this is the most valuable service a daycare can provide, especially to a single mom). i am sure this is the average for daycare anywhere you go, but if anyone has any suggestions on where to look and do some research on child care, please post away!

If you're moving to the metro area, there's a non-profit that can help with researching. It is:

As far as pricing, I have a 2yo in a day care center in Bellevue WA and it is $200/week. Infants are closer to $250 per week, and there are more expensive options in town. However, Bellevue is very pricey compared to the outlying areas, and home day care settings are less expensive.
