PBS (Channel 9 in Seattle) is showing old episodes of JP Patches. I grew up watching this show and he was my idol for a long time. My friend, Judy, and I met him at the old Pay 'N Save at University Village and he teased her about her blue nail polish. This was about 1960 or 61.

Although he was not my idol, I met him too as a kid shortly after the show started in the late 50s. I remember watching him before leaving for school and then watching him after getting home later in the day. He worked a "split shift" for quite a few years.

Before that, I was also "forced" to watch Wunda Wunda and Stan Boreson. Remember, Zero dachus, Mucho Crackus Hallaballooza Bub? --the secret password

...and Stan's two basset hounds

You didn't like Stan Boreson? Okay, I agree with Wunda Wunda. How about Breakman Bill and Captain Puget? Seattle had some of the best kid's shows on TV.
