Few questions from a 22 year old interested in Seattle (apartment, job market)

I'm graduating from UW-Madison in about 8 months with a degree in History. I would really like to move out of Wisconsin, and I'm kind of "surveying" different areas for a deeper, careful, prudent choice later on. I just have a few questions about Seattle, and I'd appreciate any help at all. Feel free to expand in any direction you'd like to; say anything you feel would help.

1 - How is the job market for recent liberal arts majors? Would I have to succumb to working for an hourly wage until I eventually went to grad school?

2 - Moving to California was my "dream," but not it is becoming apparent that it's not at all a rational or realistic decision, mainly due to the fact that in the Bay Area, housing costs are pretty much equal to Manhattan. Would I be able to afford a 1B apartment realistically, or perhaps a 2B with a roommate?

3 - Ultimately, I'd like to take a little of Wisconsin with me. Are there four seasons in Seattle, or is it just rain, rain, rain, and more rain? Do you have trees blooming, leaves falling, and a distinct "fall and spring" feel?

4 - Lastly, how is the population? Is it good for singles? What is that all like?
