Hello there. I moved to the greater Seattle are some months ago for work and to be closer to friends. I certainly don't regret my decision and have been having some good times since my move.

However, most everything I've done for fun since I moved has been centered around Seattle itself, and I live in the Bothell / Mill Creek area. Not a drive I like to make every day.

So what is there for me to do, closer to home? Clubs? Pubs? Volunteering opportunities? Arcades?

Keep in mind that I am single and in my mid twenties. The area I've chosen to live appears to be more oriented towards middle aged married couples with families, but perhaps there are things I'm missing.

I'm strongly considering a move sometime around December, when my lease is up, but that's months away, and I'd very much like to enjoy the time I have here.

Thanks.

I know there are some clubs or at least some nice bars cause my friend dj's in mill creek and obviously he wouldn't get paid if people didn't come in and enjoy themselves.

I'll find out the name of the place and let you know.

The Rock brick oven pizza, near Thrasher's Corner is pretty fun, and it has a pretty good bar. The Main Street Alehouse in Bothell has good food and you can meet some nice people. Also, Pen Thai next door to the alehouse will be putting in a bar soon too. Between Bothell and Mill Creek there is an Outback steakhouse, Bonefish Grill, a Canyons, and a couple of dive joints. Next time you want to drive in to Seattle, drive into Kirkland or Bellevue instead. There are all kinds of clubs, pool parlors, bowling alleys, movie theaters, etc.

Oh, what I would really start doing is going out to Ste Michelle for concerts on the lawn and Redhook for movies. It's pretty fun to bring a blanket, a picnic, and just hang out.

If you are interested in sports then joining some kind of league is a good way to meet people. Anything from archery to whatever sport begins with "z", there are hundreds of interesting people doing this every day.
