Hi, I live in vegas right now and will be relocating to seattle in the next few months. my motorcycle is my main mode of transportation. I do have a can i just ride my motorcycle about 95% of the year.

i know i'm not going to be able to ride it year round in seattle, but how long am i looking at not being able to ride it? i don't mind riding if it is cold or a light rain. i just don't want to be riding in ice.

Not a whole lot of ice here; this is the drizzle capital of the U.S., not the freeze capital. I see Seattle Police officers on motorcycles all year. The usual concerns would be slippery roads early in a new rain/drizzle, and "black ice" before sunrise in Dec. and Jan. Annually, you can expect ice after a snowstorm-thaw-refreeze a few days in midwinter. You're more likely to rust than freeze.

I just moved from Seattle to Vegas in November and own 3 sportbikes so I can definitely answer that question: You can ride 12 months a year there if you want. Exceptions would be the few days a year that it would snow. MOST guys ride from March thru October when there is less rain (or drizzle) and warmer temps. Seattle has some of the best roads (ie twisties) that I have ever ridden and they are EVERYWHERE unlike Vegas (thats been disappointing).
