Without reading the whole thread, we're driving in for our first Mariner's game, next week. Plan is to park at the north end of the train.
Can anyone recommend a safe parking option there, and restaurant/bar options there, and at the stadium?
Any other info helpful.

Thanks, and BEAT THE YANKS!

Park at Northgate and take Link to the stadium.

Yes, there is a Northgate garage. If that fails, then I'd recommend U District station next. There is some surface parking towards I-5 (a few blocks from the station). Overall, parking in the Roosevelt station is hard, so just skip that one.

Pioneer Square on game nights is pretty relaxed and easy-going. It isn't really like the media shows, at least not all the time. When everyone goes home, that's when the nutters come out. So, I'd just recommend packing it up by midnight or a bit earlier if you're sensing that.

If you go north after the game, you could hop off in Cap Hill or in the U District, both of which have fun bars and such. Depending on the timing, take a look at Mountaineering Club in the U District (reservations made now would be a good idea).

Yes, I'm definitely shooting for Northgate parking. Will probably get there several hours before first pitch, to get a parking spot. Light rail to the stadium. I'll check out the bars/eats there, pre-game.
Probably just jump on the return rail, when the game ends. Long drive home.
So, when we get off at the Stadium Station, do we walk west on Brougham(toward the stadium), to get to the bars and eats near the stadium?

I don't think they'll make the wild card

I still like the team

But I hope they don't get the WC.

I disagree, with their history of teasing and disappointment, my prediction is that they will get the second wild card, win the first 3-game series, getting everyone's hopes up, then move on to the next series and get swept.

In bold above: that's M's style. Yup.

Yes, they are in the thick of the WC race with about 50 games to go.

Beating NYY 2/3.....Looking solid.

Wildcard looks entirely possible at this point. I agree this seems to be a road to nowhere in recent years. But perhaps this will be the year to overcome it. I am saying “yes” on that!

Doesn’t really matter at the end of the day. Teams that can bat and play good defense will win. Kind of like it has always been. Best chance for M’s in years.
