They didn't win a tournament.

You clearly don't understand soccer anyway, none of the teams in the MLS finished with better than a 50% win record in the regular season. The Sounders win record (as if it is more important than the points) would place them equal 5th out of 20 teams in the two conferences. But regardless, they won the MLS cup, so that is why they are celebrated.

OK Mariners, it's your turn now.

of course we may have light rail built out from Everett to Tacoma before that happens. Or even worse, Big Bertha might have actually dug the waterfront tunnel completely before the M's win a world series.

Hell, I'd settle for an AL pennant at this point.

Big Bertha is set to be complete in 2017. So 2017 is your magical year? I'll buy in.

Bertha is kicking ass, with 1,550+ feet tunneled and lined from 11/1 to 12/15 alone. It's in the heart of Belltown.

It was a historic season. Even trolls can't take that accomplishment away.

Ask the Seahawks. Four Seahawks named for the 2017 Pro Bowl, all on the defense.
