Best Italian I ever had there was Brad's Swingside three years ago. Shame he had to close.

Yeah, and I am half Italian from Upstate NY (very Italian city). Visited my cousin (lives in Wallingford since 1980). She took us there. It was fantastic. Sucks he closed. I am interested in moving to Seattle/WA.

I'm from Albany myself and Dad born and raised in Flushing. Grew up with lots of Italian American playmates and bakeries everywhere.

I agree on the ice cream. Full tilt is better than BB and MM but I prefer the grocer. There was a really good custard place in Fremont (I'm from WI where custard is common) but to my great sadness they closed. Also my absolute favorite bulgogi place right in my neighborhood closed. It's now a hipster sandwich shop

Bizarro in Wallingford and Pink Door at Pike Place Market are both delicious and a lot of fun. Bizarro has rather a circus side show vibe (great, whimsical decor) and there is nothing like the Pink Door, aerialists performing above your table and high quality burlesque dinner shows if you choose.

This is Seattle, Mario Batail's hometown. No one has mentioned Salumi.

But it's pretty much just a sandwich shop that closes early. A great sandwich shop, yes.
