I was in the hospital recovering from surgery. The hospital bed started galloping across the room with me in it, toward the wall mounted tv. I was afraid it was going to fall on me.

Was in a company conference room during an operations planning meeting. Unfortunately this was in the middle of the building and no windows to look out. We all noticed and began to just stair at each other, eyes growing wider as it continued.

I noticed my boss sitting under the TV mounted against the wall and suggested he move.

I was at home learning how to tie my shoes (I was 5) and I remember my house starting to shake and my mom grabbing me and standing under the door frame. Didn't really understand what was happening. My older brother was at school when it happened and all the parents swarmed the schools to pick up their kids.

LOL

During the 2001 Quake I was standing on a downtown Seattle streetcorner and we just stepped out into the street (with nothing above us) and stared at each other with picqued interest.

But I was in the San Fran earthquake in '89 and one of the coolest things I did afterward was gaze into grocery store windows at the excitement which was the mess from detergents/powders on one side and liquids on the other side of MESSY aisles!

Taking the Washington Bar exam at Maydenbauer in Bellevue. A few people kept working through the earthquake....Californians I guess. I jumped underneath a desk but at some point, I thought the building was going to fall and ran to get under the door frame. When we walked outside so they can test the structural supports, I was expecting to see widespread destruction but everything seemed to have held together.

I was standing around in the office in Wenatchee having a group discussion when the shaking started. Everybody that lived in California ,at some point their lives, immediately left the building without saying a word.

The "natives" remained in the building talking about the shaking.

I was in 8th grade, on the second floor of our school. I could see the other building through the window swaying and I thought it was going to fall apart.
