45th to Fremont will add 15 minutes to his commute. Don't forget that there are a ton of people going to Fremont these days for work, and the bridge is a pretty reliable choke point during rush hour. 50th to 99 to Dexter would be a better route - fewer lights.

Default Tried it today...

...we found a newer, 5 BR house in Bothell for under $600k. I was in the driveway at 7:00 am on Tuesday AM and it was 70 minutes to the office on West Lake. A bit too much. I need to look closer in; 30 minutes may no longer be a parameter; probably willing to do 45 but over an hour would be taxing for the next 10-15 years. I-5 going south to Mercer was a mess. 405 over to 5 south from Bothell was wide open; traffic was going the other way. We also looked inj West Seattle and Shoreline but both as a neighborhood seemed a bit tired and worn. If Bothell is my only option, I might try leaving the house we have our eye on at 6:30 am and see what happens. I guess there is nothing south, west or east? Newer, 5 BR, around 600k? Decent high school? TIA!
