Hello everyone I am new on the forum. I am currently looking at relocating to the Seattle area from Oklahoma. I have never been to Seattle but I just love the pictures and scenario and the fact I love the rain I feel Seattle would be a perfect place for me to move to and start over.

Any who I was wondering what are some good areas to live in. I know the cost of living will be much more expensive in Seattle than in Oklahoma. I just want to move somewhere one where its affordable, 2 Somewhere that is safe and sound, 3 that has alot of area to walk around and access to stores, shops and a nice scenery.

I don't plan on moving for at least another 12 - 18 months however I like to be well planned before I make any big decisions. I plan on visiting Seattle at least twice but would like to go 3 times over the next year before moving so also meeting some good people and becoming friends with would be awesome as well.

I would also like some suggestions on some good churches to visit and attend. This is very important for me to find a good Church home. I am a Christian and I normally attend Non Denomination Churches however I was brought up in a Baptist Church so I am open to really any denomination that teaches from the BIBLE.

Well I think that is it for my questions now however I am sure you will be seeing several more over the next several months.

WOW! Well I am requesting a username change. I have only made one post and have been profiled because of my name and what the urban dictionary says. Its pretty sad that people actually do that. I hope and pray I dont run into people like you in Seattle. You dont even know me and you are calling me a gangster because of my name. There is 1.5 million plus users on this forum and trust me this wasnt my first choice but hard to come up with something with that many usernames just an FYI

With your wishes for I just affordable, safe and sound, area to walk around and access to stores, shops and a nice scenery you are more likely to be in a much smaller area farther away from Seattle.

There seem to be a lot of churches in the Seattle area, though WA state actually ranks 9th lowest of all states in church attendance. Seattle is a very liberal city and I once heard that church attendance was the 7th lowest of any
major city in the country.

Within a reasonable drive to Seattle for entertainment, with similar weather are cities like Snohomish, Monroe, Enumclaw, Puyallup.

I know this is going to be taken the wrong way, so I'm not even going to say "don't take this the wrong way":

So Seattleites, what's with the "how about anywhere but here?" recommendations many of you have been giving lately?

Is it the OP's, or are we profiling because they don't fit a mold?
