Seattle-area apartment rents may stabilize, even dip in 2014 | Business & Technology | The Seattle Times

People are always posting questions about the average rents in various places and this might be helpful. Also interesting are the high vacancy rates which appear to be Eastgate and Bothell. I think there's been a lot of home buying in the past couple of years and that may be having an impact on rental costs.

For home buying, it looks like Seattle is currently sixth in the US:

1. San Francisco
2. Houston
3. San Jose
4. New York
5. Dallas
6. Seattle

Dallas and Houston are more money to purchase a home than New York City or San Jose?? I cannot believe it! Sorry.

That can't be it. They may be talking about the increase in median home prices from the year before, making Seattle the sixth hottest, or a percentage increase in sales from a month in 2012 to the same month in 2013.
