EDIT: West hill, not jill. My bad. But I say it's fair to call that place a west "jaill".

Ok I've lived in Kent for so long now and been to almost every parts of it. Out of everywhere, the west hill is almost like a boondock! Trees, trees and more trees. You have to pretty much drive to get to anywhere. And did I even mention about that T-Mobile and certain prepaid phones doesn't even work on parts of west hills especially by the national guard armory? It's almost like a mountain. Whenever I'm in Downtown Kent or East Hills, it's never a problem for me to go around or receive phone calls. This is like a perfect warm bed for depression. It's like ****ing sammamish and northbend up here.

Can they build a bit more stores other than those on pacific highway? And at least have more buses that runs more often maybe?

If these are your complaints, I'd say life is pretty good.

Sounds like you stay up nights thinking of things to complain about. Not healthy.

North Beach is the same way. Lots of trees, bad cell reception (T-Mobile doesn't work at all, and even Verizon requires signal boosters) and you do have to drive to a lot of things aside from the beach. Despite this, people still pay quite a bit to live there.

This can't be real.

Dude, if you don't like trees, the mountains, or places like Sammamish and North Bend, may I recommend downtown Renton, east Tacoma, or Tukwila?

Tukwila and downtown Renton is actually pretty good. Tukwila got a big ass mall built, what else do you want? not sure about east Tacoma. Downtown Kent is also good too, I've lived in downtown Kent before I moved up the hill.

Yeah I say the thing is...it's all comes to the person's ego rather than actual needs. That's why the inhabitants of those parts tend to act rather snobbish, stuck up and appears unable to deal with cohabitants. Basically those places are for rich dorks with too much cash, free time and ego.

Typical answer of someone who doesn't care. If what you say is true, then how come whenever I'm in a more supposedly "dangerous" neighborhood, I'm actually happier? Perhaps it's because it's easier to get around? Or perhaps it's because my cellphone actually works and I don't have to walk a mile down hill by feet to make phone calls? Remind you, I don't have a car ok. The place is basically a boondock. Not to mention the guy I'm living with is a nightmare to deal with, but that's another topic.

Obviously the part of Kent you are in was designed with suburban dwellers in mind.

Does it have to be more dangerous to make you happier, or just more dense, with better cell reception, better transit, and more within walking distance?

Cell phone spottiness can be localized, I've had the same problem, and remedied it by moving. That would solve the roommate problem too, no?

Kent is not a boondock, you are still well into an urban area.

I know Kent is not a boondock. **** I live here for a year now I know. It's west Kent. When I live in downtown Kent, I thought Kent was actually a good place. Now if you ask me, I say Downtown Kent and East Hills are great place to live, but avoid west Kent at all cost.

Remedied by moving. Oh I know what to do. I only got a week more, I'm just wishing time can pass faster.

And to answer your question, I say that honestly, as a single young male, I just care about...just more dense, with better cell reception, better transit, and more within walking distance. Safe or not safe, it's whatever. I leave that topic for people with kids or yuppies who simply scared of everything, which I happens to be neither.

When it comes to places to live, I cares for pretty much only 3 things...
a. I don't live with roommates. I had nothing but troubles with house sharing.
b. It gotta be cheap.
c. Well...just more dense, with better cell reception, better transit, and more within walking distance
