I don't care about rain or fog - lived in the UK (and loved it). What I can't stand is the heat so all the naysaying in the world about moving someplace sunny doesn't change that.

I think it's just hard for some people to understand how there are people out there who would prefer foggy and rainy to clear and hot and humid.

@ zunshine - thanks for your perspective too I guess we should all count ourselves lucky that we have a choice!

Very few, there are some new condos across the road with views of the lake, but no towers.
Those exist only in downtown Seattle and Bellevue. Those in Bellevue with water views are
going to be over 2 million.

Sorry to jump on this thread, but it would be so lovely to have a house with water views. We've seen some nice looking houses in South Seattle with views of Lake Washington in our pricerange, but am worried about safety? They are located in the Lake Ridge Areas and Upper Rainier Beach. We do have 2 young children so hoping to hear if safety is a concern in this area. We would consider private schools just to have a lake view!
