I'm going to need GPS (using my Garmin in my car) while I drive around the Seattle area. Just curious.....does GPS work OK with the cloud cover in Seattle?

No problem with the clouds. Where you have problems is in the I5 and SR99 corridors, where the GPS doesn't know if you are on the elevated structure or the surface street below, and gets all confused.

Funny as I just finished a class in gps signals analysis and pvt solutions. Clouds are not a problem. Gps slices through them like butter.

Only if you are willing to get one of those ridiculous data plans.

I have far worse time with trees than clouds, lots of back roads have tall trees right next to the road.

This bears repeating, but it happens at all kinds of freeway interchanges. Some times I have to reboot mine because it gets all confused ("recalculating") and can't seem to pinpoint my car.
