Ok So here is the deal I currently am living back in Dallas after spending a year in a furnished condo in the belltown part of Seattle and making the hellish commute to Redmond everyday, So now I am coming back to seattle because I scored a job in kent problem is I am not exactly familier with the area I would like to live in a place that is nice and modern granite and what not but dont want a hour and a half commute to work and back already did that So my question is where is somewhere that I can live that is safe and doesn't have a horrible commute a friend suggested by the stadiums and also Bellevue I really like highrises but am open to town homes as well any help is much appreciated thank you

Bellevue to Kent doesn't look all that far, but that is a really nasty, slow stop and go commute. Other than Seattle and Bellevue there are not a lot of high rise condos that I know of, but you might find something in Renton
at the Landing. That way you at least avoid the Bellevue congestion and the
infamous S curves.

Then there's...Kent. There are a bunch of newer townhomes and condos just northwest of downtown Kent, between the Green River and 64th Avenue S. It's not a bad area, just a little boring.

I agree w/ hemlock, right now I commute Bellevue to Auburn (Kent is just north of Auburn). My job starts very early in the morning, before rush traffic, otherwise I don't think I would be able to do it. Even so I am looking to move (company I work for moved from Bellevue to Auburn last year). And Bellevue to Kent is really not that much shorter.

I live in South Seattle and work in Kent ... very easy commute along surface streets Rainier/167 (I often ride my bicycle). Maybe look at Columbia City, North Beacon Hill. Also if you live downtown Seattle, the 150 bus to Kent runs every 15 minutes.
