Are there any tide pools in the Seattle area?

Where can you go to visit them? When is the best time or season to do so?

Thanks

Alki beach is probably the favorite. Not the sandy beach itself but the rocky area down past the lighthouse. You can also go to Discovery Park and Richmond Beach. I like Mulkiteo too

When to go? You need to learn how to read a tide chart:

Tide table for Seattle, Washington

You'll want to go when the low tides are -2 or lower. It looks like this will happen again on July 1st at 11:30 am. There's a good 2 hour window when the tides are low enough to see sea stars and anenomes and other cool stuff.

I also suggest going when and where there's naturalists around:

Seattle Aquarium

Have fun!

Lincoln Park has good tide pools. Best that I know of in the area are at Deception Pass near Rosario Head
