Can you speak to the rigor of this program? My son qualifies but it sounds a bit scary hard - and my husband and I are both math inclined. Don't know if I'd want my parents signing me for it if I was him? Thoughts?

Don't forget that they teach math differently than they did when we were kids...

Thanks so much for the link! LOL. Oh, I never really thought of it that way but this article would have helped years ago when I was cursing the Everyday Math curriculum. Why can't they just teach the carrying method I would say to my son? I, of course, fall under the Google it option. I do see the merits now of teaching different ways of solving the problem. I tutor 2nd and 5th graders in math right now and the learning styles are incredibly varied.
