Seriously, someone needs to turn the Dr Hazzard story into a movie. If you aren't familiar with the subject, read up on it. It's a dark, forgotten, crazy point in Seattle's history.

According to Wiki, it says that it was announced Jan. 2009 that it'll become a movie. So it'll be a movie sooner than you think ... hopefully.

But is there a Seattle connection? I see Olalla and Walla Walla mentioned.

Yea, the trial was in Port Orchard, the mortuary from the story was on 1st Ave by Kell's and her offices were near Westlake Center. The house where the British sisters stayed when they first started the starvation treatments was on Capitol Hill. I kinda wish there was a sights tour for fans of the book.

Fascinating. I just Google'd it. Very creepy. I could see that becoming a movie. And I thought Kellogg was nuts.

Ivar Haglund's mom died as a result of treatments from Dr. Hazzard. I don't know if that influenced him to become a chowderhead or not.
Also, wasn't the anarchist free love colony of Home, Washington just down the road from Olalla around the same time?

Oh wow, I remember reading this a few years back and was just thinking about it the other day.

Amazon.com has a discussion about if a movie was made.
Glen Close to play the DR. and the olsen twins as the sisters 'cause they're already bone-thin.
