I'm 17 and I grew up in Alaska, my family moved to Colorado 3 years ago. I hate it. I love rain, I hate the sun, I want as cloudy weather as possible. Haha. I would go back to Alaska but the guys are losers and everyone are druggies because theirs nothing better to do there. I want to move to Washington for community college when i'm 19. Would Kent be a safe enough place for a 19 year old girl? Are the people in Kent nice?

Thanks!

I'm assuming you're looking into Highline community college? I would lean you more towards Des Moines than Kent. Kent is a very varied area, got some unpleasant parts. Cute DT area; has a mall that also operates as a train depot (Kent Station) so if you need a commuter train to DT Seattle, you could take that. Horrid traffic and very busy until the evening (unless there's an event). Overall, it's an ok area-- but there are other areas that should be in consideration that might be a better option.

There's also Green River Community College in Auburn which also has a smaller campus in Kent. For safety, I'd suggest Green River CC as the area around Highline CC is questionable from a safety standpoint.
