Thrillist listed the 12 most stylish streets in the country with Savannah’s own River Street earning a spot on the lineup. Other spots include: South Main Street in Memphis, Tenn.; Crosby Street in New York City; Royal Street in New Orleans, La.; St. George Street in St. Augustine, Fla.; and Broad Street in Charleston, S.C.According to the site, River Street is the “perfect street to see (ghost stories with style)” and is home to a number of restaurants and hotels, including The Cotton Exchange, The Cotton Sail Hotel and Vic’s-on-the-River.

River Street is in no way stylish. Heck, even Broughton, which actually aims to be stylish, isn't really.

I know, right? I haven’t visited the artsy fartsy areas of Savannah, but I’m guessing they are more stylish.

River Street has a rustic look. Broughton has style, though that ugly red brick building on Broughton and Bull should be demolished altogether in favor of something that blends in better and utilizes the premium space. A few extra floors wouldn't hurt either. Something like the previous building that was there in the early 20th century.

You mean this. It’s a crime that thing was ever torn down (along with the building behind it on Congresss at Bull)
