Mrs. Coops,

We welcome you and others on coming to Sarasota/Brad/Ven area with open arms, regardless of your income, politics,..as long as you are NICE people.

Some easy ways to find kid-friendly neighborhoods are the following:

1) Call subdivisions that have a clubhouse and ask approximately how many kids came to the Halloween party. The more kids that there were, the better for your kid(s). Turtle Rock subdivision had about 150 kids attending the Halloween party. That's a homes to party kid ratio of 5 to 1 since there are 750 homes here. (Also ask how many school buses come daily into the subdivision)

2) On Christmas Day drive around a subdivision and notice how many kids are playing outside with toys such as drones, helicopters, bikes, footballs, basketballs, soccer balls, skates, skateboards, hoola hoops, jump ropes, badminton, volley ball, hockey, etc.

3) During Christmas-time and Halloween-time see which subdivisions have the highest highest (Christmas lights&Halloween decorations) /to (homes in subdivision) ratio.

We believe you'll find that highest ratio in Turtle Rock, a place where Santa Claus would call, "Home sweet Home" (when North Pole is too cold).

WISHING YOU PEACE AND JOY FOR THE NEW YEAR!

PS - For those of you that just don't like kids then find subdivisions with the lowest levels of 1), 2) and 3).

Forgot to mention another brand toy you'll find lots of kids playing with in Turtle Rock.

It is the "Nerf Gun".

On quite a few streets in Turtle Rock you will find Nerf bullets lying on the streets of Turtle Rock, especially on a Saturday.

Kids running across streets in Turtle Rock, nerf guns in hand.

If you want your kids to gain imagination in gun adventures then Turtle Rock is your place folks.....

Does Turtle Rock allow basketball hoops? Can multiple cars park in the street or driveway overnight? That is needed when you have teenagers with cars.

Good news, Nancy...

Turtle rock DOES allow basketball hoops...

Most residents keep the hoops in an inconspicious place near where the driveway meets the house.

When its playtime residents roll them onto the street for several hours for the neighborhood kids - Awesome fun.

Cars can be parked on driveways all night and cars can be parked on streets all day/night except for 3-5 am (few hours
) this is rarely enforced. It probably exists to keep non-working cars off the streets.

WantPalmerRanch - sounds good except that cars cant be parked on the street all night - if someone moves somewhere its best to follow the rules - you never know when an over zealous HOA will start to enforce them.

A good indication of a street you don't want to live is the amount of basketball hoops observed and how near any of them are to the house you think you might want to buy. Also visit the street just after school lets out to see which house has the kid that races his unregistered, uninsured no license dirt bike up and down the street for an hour.

Well - if you don't want basketball hoops you can move to a nice age restricted community for old folks - works out good that way.
