Ok, found out the details. The lot is $3 a day for any parking, short term or long term. But there is a free 15 minute waiting area right out front where you can wait for people to arrive.
FYI - I've picked family up from the Santa Fe airport several times. The lot is basically just a large open area in front of the tiny terminal. I didn't see any 15 minute waiting area marked; I parked in the regular lot and had no issues waiting for almost an hour. I'm not sure where you even pay for parking - maybe inside? There's no gate to get into the lot or anything. It's very laid back. Not like a typical airport...
Yep, just three bucks a day. That's surely a good deal-although sometimes it seems to take a day just to get your luggage! So there may be a longer parking charge.
The city has good info on the parking rates now. My question is for someone who has parked there "how would you feel about parking a class b camper (small Chevy van) in the lot for about 3 weeks this summer"? I'm planning a summer long drive through the Rockies but still need to fly back to the east coast for a couple weeks work here and there. The SAF says the lot is patrolled occassionally. Any input appreciated. Thanks
