Hello As you all have probably inferred from my previous posts, I am very interested in relocating to Norcal with my fiance. Now, what I am looking for is an area with a realatively established Muslim community; my fiance is very strong in his faith. I want to be able to find a Mosque close by without having to drive an hour to get to it. Any thoughts?

Can you Google or check on Yelp for Mosques around that area?

Generally the Bay Area is not segregated (a major plus IMO) by ethnicity or faith. So it's not too likely you'll find a neighborhood that's predominantly Muslim, Buddhist, Christian, Jewish, etc. Instead they'll live where everyone else lives I would guess. Here's a starting point for you: Muslim Community Association of Sf Bay - Santa Clara, CA

Maybe somebody else can chime in with more info.

You're talking about Fremont, or the Evergreen area of south San Jose - a number of mosques to choose from.

BTW, pluralism.org has a documentary called "Fremont, USA" about the changing demographics in that town, including aspects of the growing Muslim community.
