Well, most jobs are closer to Los Altos, so the commute is more convenient for people.

Los Gatos certainly is a land of excess. Have you ever seen people, many Hollywood type celebrities for example, that have so much money that buying good quality 'normal' clothes isn't enough...They have to go buy weird stuff that just looks gaudy to the 99% of society. Los Gatos has plenty of those people. It's kind of funny to see, really. Like going to a zoo at times.

I never noticed that when we lived there and we lived right downtown.

The board has a message which promotes bumping old threads (something to the effect of these threads are still read by thousands of people, contribute to the discussion). But it's stupid. Most likely, none of the original contributors to the thread are still reading it, so it's just going to die in the water.
