I'm wondering whether anyone can recommend a good, public high school somewhere between Fremont and San Jose.

Hands down, Mission San Jose.

Note however that the zones changed recently for that school (some areas now map to Irvington). When that happened, home values dropped 25%.

Cupertino/Los Gatos and South Almaden Valley all have excellent HSs as well.

all true, I graduated from there 5 years ago. My graduating class sent 40+ students to Cal and 20+ to the Ivy League. I think 95% of the graduating class were accepted and attended some college.

feel free to PM me if you have any questions

MSJ high is the best ! No doubt ... probably best in Bay area. Basically Mission area (gomes, mission valley and mission san jose) is the best elementary , middle and high.
