There was a graphic on the news today that showed 24 cases of COVID-19 in Santa Clara County, which is more than all the other SF Bay Area counties combined. I didn't hear or see anything to explain why.
Does anyone else here have more information?

There's a little info here, on some of the Santa Clara cases. One is a man who returned from travel to India. A few seem to be cases of contact with other Santa Clara cases. The good news is, that Stanford has developed a new test for it. Hopefully, they're cranking out those tests in bulk, to be ready for when demand spurts.

Santa Cruz County: 3 cases, as far as I can tell. One was contracted on a visa to Seattle.

Per KGO a couple of hours ago:

Here's the latest number of COVID-19 cases and deaths in the Bay Area, in descending order:

Santa Clara County: 66 cases, 1 death
San Mateo County: 20 cases
San Francisco County: 18 cases
Contra Costa County: 16 cases
Alameda County: 6 cases
Solano County: 6 cases
Marin County: 3 cases
Sonoma County: 3 cases
Napa County: 0 reported cases

Data updated on March 12, 2020, at 4:45 p.m.

Edit: Keep in mind that there have been nationwide shortages in having test kits made available, so likely all numbers are higher than stated, above.

I wish we could get our schoolkids into online classrooms. That will be where it's spread.

Nobody knows how many cases we have here. We only know how many people have severe conditions and treated in hospitals. Do you know how many people have been tested in California?

Honestly, I think I had it a month ago. I'll never know for sure. It sure was a nasty cold (no fever for me, though). Didn't feel like a typical cold that I get. I think a few other people I work with already had it as well, including my boss, who had a fever and other flu-like symptoms.

People talk about this like it's the black plague. It isn't. I think it's being blown way out of proportion.
