Another question about Walnut Creek...are there any bad neighborhoods or less desirable areas to live? We are hoping a rent a home fairly close to the Bart...preferably within walking distance. How is that general area?

I don't see how anywhere in Walnut Creek could be bad (if we are talking like Oakland or Stockton bad). What little riff raff there is in the Tri valley area tends to be concentrated in the older parts of Concord, the older parts of Livermore, as well as places like Antioch, Tracy, Pittsburg, Fairfield, etc.

Wow...........this is such great info. I ,myself have been thinking of moving to Walnut creek. I lived in Turlock Ca for 7 years and moved to San Diego but am finding it to be very expensive and havent had much luck here...job wise, friend wise. People seem more REAL up in the bay. Ive been here three years and nothing has changed. Ive met alot of people thru my jobs but I havent really made GOOD honest friends. People here are all about themselves it seems.

Im a waitress and manicurist ...........Dont know how the Salons are up in WC but One can always find a server job.

I have a 16 year old son and would like to keep him in a good school district. i hear los lamos school is better than northgate. Any advice on that is greatly appreciated................
