Your favorite movies that were filmed on location in SF? Also, TV shows? All I can think of for the latter is "The Streets of San Francisco." "Full House" was set in SF but not (for the most part) filmed there.

Thought of another one:

Dark Passage (1947) with Bogart and Becall. Some nice scenes of 1940's San Francisco.

Bullitt. It's all around just a really good movie, and very minimalist in a lot of ways.

I second "The Rock". One of the best action movies EVER and one of the best car chase scenes ever filmed, followed by "Bullitt"

Best TV show set in San Francisco was "Party of Five".
